Dear Continental,
I just wanted to let you know how really happy I am with the Weatherseal
product. I built a pine log sided home in the Poconos in 2002, and applied
the first coat of Natural Pine late in the year. Unfortunately, temperatures
fell below 50°F befor I could get the second coat on, and I was worried
about what it might look like the following year (pine isn't usually the
best choice for exterior siding). Needless to say, everything looked great
one year later, and that second coat just made the finish glow. But the
really amazing part is that I had plenty of stain left over (only need 1/2
as much for second coat), so I used it on the ugly green, pressure treated
posts and girder. I can't speak for the other blends, but two coats of Natural
Pine makes pressure treated wood LOOK LIKE FURNITURE, and IT LASTS! So I
then I really took a gamble and tried it on some steps last year (my first
application on horizontal surfaces), and it's still hard as nails this year,
and it looks beautiful too. So, I'm done with the runny hardware store sealers,
like Thompsons, that have to be reapplied every year. I just ordered enough
for the first coat on my entire deck (around 800 sq ft).
Thanks again for making such a great product.

Years ago I tested you’re
products for spray-ability at Wagner spray tech in Minneapolis Minnesota.
I inherited a couple of gallons and have been using it on my deck railings.
I do a lot of painting and this is the best (most durable) deck finish that
I have ever used. Now, the question is where can I get more?
The product is exterior natural wood finish, fortified with borates and
the color is WLH CABIN BROWN.
Thank you in advance for you’re help,
Peter
I have purchased 15
gallons of your Weatherseal product from Wisconsin Log Homes. I first stained
with this product a number of years ago and I was very satisfied.. The distributor
I ordered from today did not have the insecticide or mildecide additives.
Which product do you recommend and where can I get it?
I need it as soon as possible. I am restaining a cabin in Washington.
Thank you,
Steve
I've used your Weatherseal
Sunlite stain on my 5 year log home. However, due to some original design
problems as well as me not being able to keep up with the maintenance, there
are some spots of mold, graying, and dirt. Nothing too major that someone
well qualified couldn't easily handle. That being the case, can you recommend
any log home restoration/maintenance services in my area?
I live in northeast Ohio.
Thanks!
Ryan
Help, I
preserved my northern white cedar home with weather seal back in 1994. After
some exposure over the last seven years it is starting to show signs of
peeling and is due for a total new coat of weather seal. What I'm wondering
is what is the best way to clean and prep these logs for re-stain. Would
pressure washing on a low PSI be acceptable? Your opinions would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Five years ago we purchased your product and put it on our log home.Considering all, we feel it has held up well. We live in the south and get lots of baking hot sun. The color we used was sunlight, and we wanted to keep the yellow "natural" look, however the color changed to a reddish orange. The north side now has mildew on it but we realize this is because it is time to reapply sealer. Our main concern and question is how to keep the yellow looking yellow. We are considering going to a darker brown which would be ok, but just do not want the orange color we currently have. What is your professional opinion? Also we misfortunatly used another supplier for our deck that goes completely around our house. It did not hold up at all. It has just completely washed off. We would like to know if you offer something for decks that has a natural look but somewhat of a finish. I have researched various products that have a shiny look but I'm not sure of how well that will hold up to the outdoor elements. Also what sizes of containers do you sell the products in, is there any other size than the 10 gallon size. Do you have a location close to Nashville TN. that carries your product? We would like to be able to go get it instead of having it shipped to us. Thank you so much for any help you can give us.
I have been using your
products for years and I'm very happy with them. My question is can this
stain be sprayed on using a Wagner Power sprayer? Also, can this product
be tinted to match an existing finish?
Thanks,
Steve
To whom it may concern,
I used weatherseal rustic pine to stain my log home. I am very happy with
the product, however I feel that i chose too light of a color. Would it
be possible to darken my existing color by using cabin brown for my second
coat? Thank you for your time . Please let me know your opinion.
